Referral Program Terms & Conditions

Effective date: October 10, 2025

1. Program Overview

Vilva's Referral Program ("Program") allows eligible users to earn referral credits by referring new users to Vilva. These credits can be redeemed for premium subscription benefits. By participating in the Program, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

To participate in the Program, you must:

  • Be a registered Vilva user with an active account
  • Have a valid referral code generated through your Vilva account
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not be located in a jurisdiction where participation is prohibited

3. How the Program Works

Earning Credits:

  • Earn 10 credits when a referred user signs up for Vilva account
  • Earn 25 additional credits when the referred user subscribes to the Lite plan
  • Earn 100 additional credits when the referred user subscribes to the Pro plan
  • Earn 200 additional credits when the referred user subscribes to the Max plan

Redeeming Credits:

  • Redeem 200 credits for 1 month of Pro plan subscription
  • Credits do not expire but may be subject to program changes

4. Referral Links and Codes

Each eligible user receives a unique referral code. Referral links follow the format: http://localhost:3000?referral=YOUR_CODE

  • Referral codes are unique and non-transferable
  • Only one referral code per user account
  • Referral tracking is automatic through URL parameters

5. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification:

  • Creating fake accounts or using multiple accounts to self-refer
  • Using bots, scripts, or automated systems to generate referrals
  • Purchasing referrals or paying for signups
  • Spamming or sending unsolicited referral messages
  • Misrepresenting Vilva or the referral program
  • Violating any applicable anti-spam or advertising laws
  • Attempting to manipulate or game the referral system

6. Credit Validity and Forfeiture

Referral credits are earned when:

  • A new user signs up using your referral link
  • The referred user completes account verification
  • The referred user makes a qualifying subscription payment

Credits may be forfeited if:

  • The referral is found to violate these terms
  • The referred account is suspended or terminated
  • The referred account cancels their subscription for which you earned credits
  • Vilva determines the referral was obtained through fraudulent means

7. Redemption Process

To redeem credits for a Pro plan subscription:

  1. Accumulate at least 200 referral credits
  2. Go to the Referrals page in your Vilva account
  3. Click the "Redeem Credits" button
  4. You will receive 1 month PRO plan and 200 credits will be deducted

Note: Redeemed subscriptions do not auto-renew and expire after 1 month. You will need to manually renew or upgrade for continued Pro access.

8. Program Changes and Termination

Vilva reserves the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the referral program at any time
  • Change credit amounts, redemption requirements, or rewards
  • Update these terms with reasonable notice
  • Terminate participation for violation of these terms
  • Investigate suspicious activity and take appropriate action

9. Liability and Disclaimers

The referral program is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Vilva is not responsible for:

  • Technical issues preventing credit accrual
  • Lost or stolen referral links/codes
  • Third-party actions affecting referral success
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

10. Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes associated with referral rewards or redeemed subscriptions. Vilva may report significant redemptions to tax authorities as required by law.
